IPC Board
The IPC board has been designed to make a copper to optical conversion of multiple links simultaneously. The input copper differential lines come from a FMC connector.
The FMC connector of the IPC board can be connected to an evaluation board (such as the Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA ML605) and allows transmitting a set of 72 optical links aimed for low-speed general I/O (up to 480 Mbps) and 8 links at higher speed (up to 1.6 Gbps).
This board has been desgined for testing other data transmission optical devices such as the ones present in our TwinMux and uROS boards.
IPC board also features a clock generator configurable by I2C (using device SI5338A)..
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This board has been designed using Altium.
