Gender equal opportunities

 

The CIEMAT-FP Unit is committed to diversity and equal opportunities and has a Working Group dedicated to these issues since 2016. The aim of this Working Group is to raise awareness of the importance of diversity and the reduction of the gender gap, as well as to establish the necessary actions to remedy the low representation of women in our Unit, facilitate equal opportunities and inclusion.

TASKS and ACTIONS

- Collecting sex-disaggregated data for the diagnosis and monitoring of the gender gap in our Unit.

- Development of effective gender indicators that allow us to improve diagnosis and measure the gender gap in access to resources and opportunities, as well as to recognise the existence of unconscious biases in the functioning of our Unit.

- Drawing up annual reports with the data collected and analysed.

- Equality and diversity awareness activities in CIEMAT.

- Dissemination actions aimed at girls and young women that make the Unit's female scientists visible.
