The HEPiX Fall 2018 workshop has been organized by PIC in Barcelona from 8th to 12th October. The HEPiX forum brings together worldwide Information Technology professionals, including system administrators, system engineers, and managers from High Energy Physics and Nuclear Physics laboratories and institutes, to foster a learning and sharing experience between sites facing scientific computing and data challenges.

PIC (Puerto de Información Científica) was founded in 2003 as a center of scientific and

technological excellence focused on the processing and management of large amounts of scientific data. It hosts the Spanish Tier-1 center integrated in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid. CIEMAT and IFAE maintain and operate PIC through a collaboration agreement supported by the Catalan and central administrations. Members of the CIEMAT Scientific Computing Unit have led the organization of the workshop. In addition, the CIEMAT-FP María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence has been one of the sponsors.
